DIMAPUR — The 9th edition of the Kohima District Shooting Competition will be held at Kire Farm (Chiin-Ca) on May 2.
The event will be held under the aegis of the Kohima District Shooting Association and conducted by the Kohima District Rifle Association, according to an update.
The competition will feature 10m air rifle (men and women, junior and senior), 10m pistol (men and women, junior and senior), and 50m .22 rifle open sight (open), and 40m (.177 calibre) bench rest (open).
The entry fee for the 10m air rifle and 10m pistol categories has been fixed at INR 500. The entry fee for the 50m .22 rifle open sight is INR 1000, while the fee for the 40m (.177 calibre) bench rest is INR 2000.

The collection and submission of entry forms can be done both online and offline. Forms will be available at Sports World in Kohima town, Pfonuo Shop at DBS Junction, Kohima Village, and Kitsu Pan Shop in D Khel, Kohima.
The last date for the submission of entry forms along with the entry fee is April 30 before 4 pm.
In the 10m competitions, there will be two categories: junior (15 years and below) and senior (above 15 years).
Shooters selected in this competition will represent the Kohima district team in the upcoming State Inter-District Shooting Championship, scheduled to be held at the Aries Sports Complex in Dimapur in June.
