96 appears for football trial at Kohima

Principal Correspondent Kohima, May 18 Altogether 96 footballers appeared on the first day of the field trial conducted by Guwahati Town Club and Pune Football Club for under 19 players (Boys) for selection into the two football academy. Representatives from the Guwahati Town Club in coordination with Nagaland Football Association conducted the trial at Kohima Local Ground. Players from Kohima, Dimapur, Peren and Phek districts came forward for the field trial while those from other districts would be undergoing the trial on Tuesday, said State Coach Kevilebei.A sizeable number of players could be selected to undergo the final selection to be held at Guwahati, Assam on June 10, he said adding that the players would further trained and join the two clubs.
