Amigos FC and Medziphema Village Youth Organisation won their respective semi-final matches on Tuesday to enter the finals of the 8th Frolic Cup.
Amigos FC emerged victorious against Fury FC Molvom 3-0. The match witnessed the fight for midfield dominance till the final whistle. The opening score came early in the match in the 13th minute from Menguzelie. In the second half, a 30 yard shot from Nyithong in the 57th minute took the score to two.
Fury FC were found wanting in finishing with a couple of lost chances at close range. The match was sealed when Rhitso broke the defence of Fury and tipped the ball in the corner beyond the reach of the keeper.
MVYO booked their final place defeating the United Falcon Club 3 -1. The first goal came in the 9th minute when Thejasetuo tapped the ball into the UFC net. Despite strong midfield control, the MVYO attackers were denied goals by the disciplined defence and keeper.
The second half saw the custodian on both side busy keeping their net safe. Avika of MVYO found the net in the 64th minute taking the lead to two goals.
A fine dribbling skill and finishing from Thejasetuo in the 76th minute took the score line to three. The consolidating goal for the UFC finally came from Nourhelhoulie in the 85th minute in a display of fine counter attack.
