KOHIMA — The three-day 84th annual sports meet of the Kigwema Youth Organisation (KYO) concluded at Kholera ground, Kigwema, on Saturday.

In football, Merama khel emerged as champions after defeating Seca khel, while Khamima khel clinched the titles in both men's and women's volleyball.

Earlier, in the Naga wrestling held on Jan. 25, Kekheneito Kere of Khamima was declared as the champion, while Kekhrie Yhoshü, Ketouvilie Kere, and Kheseto Zütso secured second, third and fourth positions, respectively.

The victorious teams and sportspersons will represent the village in the upcoming Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) tournament, scheduled for Feb. 8 to the 10th.

Following the prize distribution ceremony, the newly-elected office bearers of KYO for the tenure 2024-2026 was also announced.
