Dimapur, April 1 (EMN): Amigo’s FC and Kuki Youth Club Medziphema (KYCM) booked their spot in the final of the ongoing 7th Frolic Cup at Medziphema on Friday.
In the first semi-final match between Amigo’s FC and Paohao FC (PMFC), PMFC took the lead in the 17th minutes through Ngulgoulal but the team could not score despite repeated attacks.
The second half saw the resurgence of the Amigo's FC, who settled down in midfield control. The PMFC defence was finally broken and Amigo's FC sealed the match from the goals scored by Akhobu (82 min), Asito (85 min) and Nyithong (88 min). The match ended 3-1 in favour of Amigos’s FC.
KYCM registered their place in the final after defeating Tribals United by a 6-0 thumping. Despite the many missed chances on both side, KYCM registered six goals against Tribals through the boots of Ebenthung (8 min), Khakhevi (32 min), Thanglenhao (61 and 45 min), Lamginmang (80 and 87 min).
The final will take place on Saturday at 1:30 pm.
