DIMAPUR — The 79th general conference of the Chakhesang Students Union (CSU) will be held from February 3 to the 5th at local ground, Zuketsa, Phek district, on the theme ‘Nurturing identity through knowledge and culture.’
The conference is being hosted by the Zuketsa Students Union (ZSU).
The conference guests include former minister Neiba Kronu as the introductory guest; Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang as inaugural guest; Advisor for CAWD and Taxes Kudecho Khamo as guest of honour; L Dikho, MLA of 48th Mao AC, Manipur, as cultural guest; and Zhothisa Dawhuo, Secretary of Women Resources Development, as the valedictory guest.
Meanwhile, Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA, will be the special guest of the 67th Zuketsa Students Union.
The programme dignitaries include panellists Lt. Col. (Retd.) Neipfupe (Ape) Venuh, Member, Collective Leadership, NSCN/GPRN; Alezo Venuh, Ato Kilonser, GPRN/NSCN ; and Acüyi Vadeo, Joint Secretary, NNC.

Dr. Neingulo Krome, Secretary General of the NPMHR, will be the moderator for the discussion on ‘Indo-Naga political talks: The vision and its prospects.’
Neichute Doulo, CEO of Entrepreneurs Associates, and Vekhohu Puro, EAC, Peren Headquarters, will be the resource persons for the seminars on entrepreneurship and competitive exams, respectively.
The Lt. Goyiepra Kenye Meritorious Award will also be conferred on meritorious students during the conference.
A new CSU team will also be installed at the end of the conference.
The organising committee has informed all delegates to arrive at the conference venue on February 3 by 12 noon for registration. The affiliated and subordinate units have also been informed to bring their respective flags measuring 3×5 feet.
