KOHIMA — The 79th general conference of the Chakhesang Students Union (CSU) commenced at Zuketsa in Phek district on Tuesday evening, themed “Nurturing identity through knowledge and culture”.
Neiba Kronu, former minister, attended the introductory session as the introductory guest. In his address, Kronu emphasised the importance of time, discipline, and seriousness of purpose among students.
He reminded the gathering that attending such conferences should not be taken lightly but rather as an opportunity to dream big, reflect deeply, and return with a renewed sense of responsibility to spread positive messages within society.
Highlighting that the most crucial phase in a student’s life is their academic career, he urged students to give utmost priority to their studies. He cautioned that failure to keep pace academically would lead to lifelong struggles and missed opportunities.
