Kohima, June 2 (EMN): The 78th CRPF located at Sechü-Zubza headquarters on June 1 celebrated its 33rd foundation day with various programmes throughout the day.
Gracing the cultural programme, state home commissioner, R Ramakhrishnan, has congratulated the 78th CRPF on completing 33 years of dedicated and yeoman services to the nation and hoped they would carry forward the good works in the days and years to come for services to the people and the nation as a whole.
SR Sarvanan, special secretary of home; Sarabjeet Singh, DIG (OPS) Kohima; representatives from various Assam Rifles and BSF, community local leaders and students of Don Bosco School, Sechu –Zubza attended the cultural programme.
To mark the foundation day, a variety of programmes were organised at the Zubza camp under the leadership of its unit commandant, Surender Singh. Officers, jawans and families as well as local people participated in great numbers in all the programmes.
The Raising Day began with Hawan Puja, tree plantation and by paying floral tributes to the brave martyrs of the force followed by a Guard of Honour and hoisting of CRPF flag at the unit quarter guard.
Second in-command, Ramchandra, delivered the vote of thanks and thanked all the participants for their active involvement and support in all the events.
