Dimapur, Dec. 27 (EMN): The 78 Battalion CRPF stationed in Zubza under Kohima district has conducted civic action programme on December 27 by organising a free medical camp for villagers under Sechu-Zubza block.
The battalion press release stated that Sarbjit Singh, DIGP (Ops) CRPF, Kohima, who was also the chief guest, inaugurated the medical camp at the community hall in Sechu Zubza village. He also distributed medical amenities, medicines for disabled/ ill persons from the villages under Sechu Zubza block.
Sh. Ram Chandra, second-in-command (Commandant- AOL), expressed pleasure and joy to organise the civic action programme in Sechu-Zubza village wherein needy persons under Sechu-Zubza were benefitted.
It mentioned that the 78 Battalion CRPF, since its induction in Nagaland, has been organising such programmes every year and mingled with the public to share their grievances and to provide the basic amenities.
The Commandant (AOL), in his speech, expressed gratitude to the villagers under Sechu Zubza block for their cooperation and cordial relationship. He reminded that 78 Battalion CRPF has been performing the assigned duties with full devotion and dedication in maintaining cordial relationship with locals by extending all possible assistance.
During the programme, CRPF provided seven wheelchairs and 23 walking sticks to needy personnel. About 300 villagers were given medical treatment on the occasion. It stated that the villagers have acknowledged Dr. Suderson Baniya Chhetri, GDMO of 78 Battalion, and Ms Ngasepam Kheroda Debi, GDMO from 173 Battalion, for their yeomen services.
Programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Anil Kumar Jha, 2nd I/C from CRPF, and Aatu, president of Sechu Zubza block youth
organisation.
