The 78 Battalion CRPF distributes broiler chicks and holds a free medical camp at Rusoma village in Kohima

DIMAPUR — The 78 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a civic action programme at Rusoma village in Kohima on Wednesday to support villagers, promote poultry farming, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities.
As part of the programme, broiler chicks were distributed among villagers to promote self-reliance, encourage entrepreneurship, and generate income.
According to a press release, the initiative was undertaken following a request from the village council chairman to support local residents in establishing poultry farming as a means of livelihood.
A free medical health check-up camp was also conducted on the occasion, during which the medical officer of the 78 Battalion examined more than 30 villagers and provided medicines free of cost to those requiring treatment.
Rusoma Village Council Chairman Kekhrie Pfukha expressed gratitude to the 78 Battalion CRPF for providing broiler chicks to the villagers, noting that the initiative would improve livelihoods, promote poultry farming, and help residents become economically self-reliant.
The programme was attended by officers and personnel of the 78 Battalion CRPF, members of the Rusoma Village Council, and local residents.
