DIMAPUR — A one-day ‘Job Fair’ was held at the Regional Employment Exchange, Kohima, on Friday, which brought together job seekers, employers, and key placement agencies under a single platform.
The event was jointly conducted by the Regional Employment Officer, Kohima, Sub-Regional Employment Officer (National Career Service for ST/SC), Kohima, and Don Bosco Placement Network (AIDA), Dimapur, a DIPR report stated.
The job fair aimed to create direct engagement between recruiters and candidates, promote employment opportunities, and support the state’s skill development initiatives.

The organisers highlighted that Nagaland continues to face a high unemployment rate, with over 74,500 individuals registered in Employment Exchanges across the state as of July 2025.
Regional Employment Officer of Kohima, T Yimlikhumzuk, informed that a total of seven companies participated in the fair, offering more than 500 job openings across various sectors within Nagaland and other states.
The participating employers included Reliance Jio, Chilli Breeze, Talent Acquaintance, Kin Ventures, Apex Motors Dimapur, SBI Life PR Hill Branch, and SBI Life Secretariat Branch, Kohima.
“The event received encouraging feedback from both employers and job seekers. More than 250 candidates attended the fair, out of which 74 were shortlisted for employment opportunities across different sectors,” the report added.
