7 persons penalised for selling liquor in Dimapur

Excise department displays IMFL seized during the joint surprise raid with the DNSU officials on October 31.

Dimapur, Nov. 4 (EMN): The Narcotic Cell enforcement personnel under Excise department along with office bearers and executive members of the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) recovered huge quantities of assorted Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) during a joint surprise raid on booze joints and restaurants in different pockets of Dimapur town on October 31.

An update from the deputy commissioner of Excise (NC), S Chanlei Angh, informed that the joint team confiscated a total of 734 bottles of assorted IMFL.  It further informed that seven persons were arrested and penalised as per the relevant section of NLTP Act 1989.
