Earlier, MLA from 9 Kohima Town A/C, Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, said shooting competition does not require qualities and physical prowess like other sports while the longevity of shooting career is much longer than any other competitive games.
Acknowledging the presence of Merang Jamir, Nagaland Rifle Association president, who is also a sportsperson as well as an international judge in the shooting discipline, Rhütso reminded the participants not to take the competition as a yearly event but as a sports career guidance event.
The legislator stressed on the need to give their best in pursuing any career - be it sports or studies. "Always aim for the best and not second best," he said.
