Mokokchung, Dec. 27 (EMN): The 6th triennial conference of the Longmisa Kaketshir Senden Reju (LKSR) was conducted during Dec. 19-21 with the theme ‘Tarutsü Ngujemtetba’ (foresighted) with Kikumsungla Jamir, additional deputy commissioner of Longkhim as the main speaker.
Speaking during the conference, Kikumsungla Jamir encouraged the students to form definite goals and work hard toward achieving them. She encouraged them to abstain from habits and practices that may jeopardize their careers and life.
Short speeches were delivered by Nungshichila Longchar, junior engineer of the Public Health Engineering division of Mokokchung; and Imtichiba Jamir, inspector at Industries and Commerce, Mangkolemba.
The third day of the conference coincided with the 78th foundation day of the organisation. It began with a session of prayer followed by a short commemoration service.
The highlight of the day included a grand feast and motivational session with Imtisunup Longchar, cofounder and director of a local business Ilandlo; and Nukshimatong Pongener, extra assistant commissioner at Tamlu, Longleng as motivators. They spoke on topics about entrepreneurship and skill enhancement and academic and competitive examinations.
Around 500 delegates attended the conference. The event saw a variety of activities which included indigenous games, quiz, exhibition of hand-made art and crafts, etc.
