68th Filmfare Awards: Andrea Kevichusa nominated in best debut female category

DIMAPUR — Model-turned actress Andrea Kevichusa, the first artiste from Nagaland to play a lead role in Bollywood, and who debuted alongside Bollywood actor Ayushman Khurrana in the movie "Anek," has been nominated in the best debut female category for the upcoming 68^th Filmfare Awards 2023.

She played a metaphorical character which symbolises the region she comes from and the betrayals she goes through. She essayed a strong-willed person who tried to find her own footing in the country but is unable to because she simply isn't being presented the opportunity to.

“Anek” has received four nominations, Best Debut Female, Best Background Score, Best Cinematography and Best Sound Engineer.

After her debut film, Kevichusa had told Eastern Mirror during an interview that the warm reception that she received from a number of stars in Bollywood industry has been gratifying.
