Kohima, July 6 (EMN): The department of Labour and Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has registered 649 job seekers in the Nagaland job link portal since the launch of the dashboard on June 26.
On Monday, the figure was reported by the advisor of the department of Labour and Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Industries and Commerce, Imnatiba at the Secretariat Conference Hall in Kohima. The department of Information Technology and Communication developed the link portal.
According to the dashboard, the portal aims to connect job seekers and employers in the state for effective engagement and placement in the private sector of the state.
Further, it stated that the portal also aims to provide a platform for citizens to enrol in up-skilling, re-skilling and other training programmes provided by various agencies.
“By registering on this portal, you will be enabling the government of Nagaland in understanding the skill sets and aspirations of the job seekers in Nagaland and explore ways and means for creating a vibrant business oriented private sector driven economy in the state,” read the statement.
A disclaimer from the portal however clarified that the portal only acts as a platform to connect job seekers with employers in private sector establishments.
“Registration in this portal does not guarantee placement,” it stated.
