Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): The Immanuel Hall of Y. Zhimo Colony emerged team champion in the recently held 5th Faith in Action Taekwondo Championship 2017at Dimapur Government College, Dimapur under the theme “Taekwondo for All” on Oct. 6 and 7, 2017.
The championship was graced by Youth Resources and Sports, Music Task Force parliamentary secretary, Khekaho Assumi, and Indian Navy Engineer in Shipping, Javed Ahmed as the guest of honour on the concluding day.
The overall Team Champion, Immanuel Hall bagged 22 Gold, 11 Silver and 13 Bronze medals and the 1st Runner’s up was bagged by Hope Academy with 6 Gold, 15 Silver and 11 Bronze Medal followed by 2nd Runner’s up Vision Home Hr. Sec. School with 6 Gold, 3 Silver and 7 Bronze Medals.
In Taekwondo Demonstration Competition, St. Mary’s Montessori Hr. Sec. School won the Champion Trophy by 85.2 points and Immanuel Hall won 1st Runner’s up Trophy by 75.5 points and Ambush Taekwondo Academy won 2nd Runner’s up Trophy by 66.5 points.
Best Official award in male category was bagged by Coach Sanjay Chetri (Great Commission Hr. Sec. School) and in female category Alice of Immanuel Hall bagged the award.
The individual Best Fighters in both male and female in colour and black Belt categories are in Sub-Junior Boys& Girls- Jon and Shreya Das of Immanuel Hall, Kivika Achumi of St. Mary’s Montessori School, and Doryla of Great Commission Hr. Sec. School.
In Cadet Boys & Girls- KivinokaSwu and Liike Kibami of Immanuel Hall, Maong Longkumer of Hope Academy.
In Junior Boys-Huqheyi Yepthomiof Vision Home Hr. Sec. School and Kevin of Immanuel Hall.
In Senior Boys Category;-Akai H. Neho of Kuhuboto Taekwondo Academy and ShivamArora of St. Mary’s Montessori Hr, Sec. School.
In Best of the Best Fighters Category, the Best Fighter male Award was won by Tovi Sema of Little Tigers Taekwondo Academy and Sungjemnela of Ambush Taekwondo Academy won in the female category.
The Best Discipline trophy was bagged by Kuhuboto Taekwondo Academy.
