59th Tizü Area Sports’ Association meet commences

Dimapur, Jan. 9 (EMN): The 59^th meet of Tizü Area Sports’ Association commenced at Tizü Area Sports Complex, Khuza town under Phek district on Monday.

An update stated that nine teams are competing in track and field events, Naga-style wrestling and arm wrestling hosted by Khuza village on the motto "Friendship Forever".

The six-day event, beginning from January 9 to the 14^th, was attended by Shevohu Nienu, Class I contractor, Nagaland as special guest and Zhopra Vero, Kedallo NNC/FGN and Co-Convenor, WC- NNPG as guest of honour.

Speaking at the programme, the special guest called upon the youths to have dreams and fear God to progress and rise higher in every aspect of life, it said.

He called upon the 10 adjoining villages of Tizü area to be united by adhering to the motto and through peace and good leadership.
