572 teaching faculties in government colleges

Kohima, Sep. 22 (EMN): Minister of Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, informed that the total strength of professors, assistant professors and lecturers for government colleges in Nagaland is 572 including 412 (regular) and 160 assistant professors on fixed pay.

He was responding to a starred question raised by MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu on the concluding day of the 12th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative assembly on Thursday.

Out of the government colleges in Nagaland, Along informed that the total strength of professors, assistant professors and lecturers in Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Jotsoma is 93; Kohima College, Kohima - 60; State College of Teacher Education, Kohima - 18; Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung - 70; Sao Chang College, Tuensang - 40; and Phek Government College, Phek - 39.
