Dimapur, Dec. 16: Altogether 562 personnel were inducted as full- fledged Nagaland police at a ceremonial attestation parade held at Nagaland Police Training School (NPTS), Chumukedima, on December 16. The 562 police personnel inducted after a rigorous ten months training included 528 Recruit Havildars and Recruit Constables of the 63rd batch and 34 ASIs of the 37th batch cadet from District Executive Force (DEF), Nagaland Police Telecommunication Organisation (NPTO), Excise, INT/Crime/NPCW, Vigilance and 1st NAP.
LL Doungel, Director General of Police, graced the oath taking and ceremonial attestation parade as the chief guest. Addressing the new recruit police personnel, Doungel conveyed his pride to induct them as the fully fledged member of Nagaland Police.
He persuaded them that it was just the beginning of a responsible service where they will be judge on the ground of service and dedication.
“The image of Nagaland Police will depend on your performance and quality of service,” asserted Doungel. Also reminding that their presence here was not by co-incidence but by choice and dedication, Doungel called upon the newly inducted police personnel to live up on the trust and responsibility bestowed on them.
“Policing was, is and will never be easy,” remarked Doungel. He also conveyed that with sincerity of purpose to fulfil the responsibility conferred, there should not be a reason that the department will not excel.
