Agriculture and Parliamentary Affairs departments, as the inaugural guest,
officially declaring the meet open.
In his address, Kenye highlighted the vital role sports play
as a universal language, fostering teamwork, mutual respect, and shared goals,
according to an update. Drawing parallels with football, he underscored the
importance of collective effort, where every role contributes to success.
He also spoke about the values sports impart, such as
fairness, discipline, perseverance, and the responsibility of athletes to
inspire others through their conduct.
He noted how even digital games like Mobile Legends and PUBG
reinforce teamwork and strategy, bridging divides and bringing players together
across diverse locations. He highlighted the unifying role of sports in
Nagaland, where the state’s rich tribal diversity converges under a shared
identity and determination to succeed.
