DIMAPUR — The 5 Tribes Committee on Review of Reservation Policy (CoRRP) has criticised Nagaland government for ignoring its core demands following the state Cabinet’s decision on August 6 to constitute a Reservation Review Commission (RRC).
In a press statement issued on Thursday, the CoRRP described the Cabinet’s decision as a repetition of its earlier decision taken on June 12.
“It has chosen to ignore our core demands and has rather went ahead with the composition of the Reservation Review Commission, which includes CSOs in the form of CNTC, ENPO and TUN.

“The partisan attitude of the government spokesperson in justifying 48 years of indefinite reservation policy and throwing up wild imaginary figures in government employment as well as interlinking Reservation Review Commission outcome with next Census while briefing the media has only added insult to our movement,” it stated.
The committee informed that it would soon hold a joint sitting with the five apex tribal bodies to decide on the next course of action.
