DIMAPUR — Five
police officers of the Nagaland State Police Service (NPS) have been inducted
into the Indian Police Service (IPS) on probation and allocated Nagaland cadre
under sub-rule (1) of Rule 5 of the Indian Police Service (Cadre) Rules, J954.
According to a notification by the Ministry of Home Affairs
on Tuesday, the five officers are James Kinghen, Teisovise Metha, H Kuhovi
Sema, M Rhovisie Nvuwi and Rankathung Vikram Ezung.
“The aforesaid officers will remain on probation for one
year as per rule of Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 and the
officers will obtain induction training as per sub rule 5 (4) of Indian Police
Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 as amended dated10.05.2011,” the notification
added.
