The 4th Pughoboto two days Inter Departmental Badminton tournament is underway for two days. The opening ceremony was inaugurated by ADC Pughoboto Avelu Ruho at the Indoor Stadium on Tuesday April 5.
Speaking on the occasion, Avelu said that organizing such a meet is to unify officials from various departments, to know each other and work in coordination for the welfare of the people. She underlined that people need to play in the natural ground and expressed that exercise is the endorphin to stay healthier. The inaugural function was chaired by EAC Ghathashi, Sulanthung. Special song was presented by Government High School Pughoboto. Physical Education Teacher GHS Pughoboto Hokiqhe and other supervised the tournament. On the day, the ADC also informed that the Pughoboto SDPDB meet has been postponed to 12th April due to some engagements of the Minister for Roads & Bridges and SDPDB Chairman, Pughoboto, Y. Vikheho.
Altogether 16 departments are participating for the tournament. The first match was played between APRO team and the PWD team.
