DIMAPUR — The 4th edition of the New Jalukie Super League (NSL) 2025 began on September 2 with an inaugural ceremony at New Jalukie playground, Peren district.
A press release on Wednesday informed that Jiendai Gangmei, pastor of Rongmei Baptist Church Samziuram, graced the occasion as special guest and officially declared the tournament open, urging young players to uphold discipline, unity, and fair play.
With its motto ‘Oneness,’ the NSL has become a platform to promote grassroots football and bring together budding talent, it stated.

The opening day witnessed six clubs clashing in spirited matches, drawing large crowds of supporters. Organisers said the strong turnout reflected the growing enthusiasm for football in the region.
The tournament will run till September 27, with local clubs competing for the league title and championship.
