4th Mokokchung Town Inter-Ward Volleyball Tournament begins

MOKOKCHUNG — The 4th Mokokchung Town Inter-Ward Volleyball Tournament 2025 was kicked off by Imkongchuba, Chairman of the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, Mokokchung, on October 8.

The two-day tournament is organised by Kumlong Sporting Association, under the aegis of the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association, with the theme “Forging Champions.”

In his address, the guest of honour commended the Kumlong Sporting Association for sustaining the tournament through its fourth edition.

He said that sports should transcend mere competition and serve as a teacher for discipline, consistency, humility, and respect.

The tournament commenced with an exciting opener, where Kichutep Ward triumphed in straight sets, 25-10 and 25-17, over Penli Ward.
