Kohima, June 13 (EMN): A total of 4893 persons, including 3453 inter-state and 1440 inter-district travellers were screened till June 12, at the local ground Kohima.
Informing this, Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Kevingoto Kulnu said 90-100 persons on an average come for screening daily. Since most of the travellers have arranged their own transportation, he said, the officials screened their health status and issued movement permit. He added that the transport cell is looking after the transportation.
Speaking about inter-district travellers, he informed that some people are still coming to get themselves screened and get medical certificate as some villages and colonies insist for medical certificate.
He also shared that normally, not many people come for screening on Sundays but “we entertain them when they call us”. Even as the number of people coming for screening has declined now, he stated that the nature of work is the same.
