4.4 magnitude earthquake jolts Mokokchung

Dimapur, Nov. 22 (EMN): An earthquake measuring a magnitude of  4.4 occurred at 11 km east of Mokokchung town today at 8:59 am, said an update from the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

According to the NCS report, the quake occurred at the depth of 23.2 km between 26.31 latitude and 94.63 longitude.

A source informed that there were no reports of damages or casualties.

According to some reports, tremors were felt in several areas across the state.
