Speaking on the occasion, Woch encouraged everyone to continue supporting and promoting young budding players and lauded the Tseminyu District Badminton Association (TDBA) for their initiatives in organising regular district-level badminton tournaments and coaching camps.

He opined that the TDBA is the most active association in the district.

He also stated that Nagas need to develop a good sporting culture, which will benefit not only the individual but also the community and society at large, because sports can provide solutions to many social vices affecting the young population.
