The 3rd Tseminyu District Badminton Tournament concluded with nine categories and prizes awarded at Tseminyu Badminton Indoor Stadium.

DIMAPUR — The third Tseminyu District Badminton Tournament concluded on June 28 at Tseminyu Badminton Indoor Stadium.
According to an update, at the closing function, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Tseminyu, Japheth Woch, as special guest, presented the certificates and cash prizes to the winners.
There were a total of nine categories, including 35+ and 45+.

Speaking on the occasion, Woch encouraged everyone to continue supporting and promoting young budding players and lauded the Tseminyu District Badminton Association (TDBA) for their initiatives in organising regular district-level badminton tournaments and coaching camps.
He opined that the TDBA is the most active association in the district.
He also stated that Nagas need to develop a good sporting culture, which will benefit not only the individual but also the community and society at large, because sports can provide solutions to many social vices affecting the young population.
One of the tournament highlights was I Temjen Ao, a 62-year veteran, who partnered with K Zeiphrü to win the 35+ category.
