Dimapur, July 24 (EMN): The 3rd Phase immediate cash relief was extended to the flood affected people of Dimapur July 24, through DDMA Zeliangrong colony, Sachu colony, Selouphe, Imkongleden, Public ground colony, SM Colony, Walford colony, Changaizang colony, Police colony, Rangailong Colony, Vilhune colony,United colony,Pishikhu, Ghonivi and Phuhoto colonies.
Till date, immediate cash relief has been extended to 46 wards/ colonies/villages under Dimapur district, besides food items, drinking water etc.
District administration has expressed appreciation to all the DDMA members and NGOs for the contribution and support rendered during the crisis in Dimapur district. A total of 26 lakh (20 lakhs from CMs relief fund and 6 lakh from SDMA) was given as relief to the flood affected victims.
In a separate press release, Trailblazer Society, Dimapur informed that the society has extended help to the affected families by providing relief materials though the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur on July 24. Dr. Temjenungsang Longchari, Chairman of Trailblazer Society stated that, “This Society was formed on October 2016, with motto ‘Enriching lives’. The society focuses on growth in the medical sector, education, sports, skill development and also to promote the socio-economic conditions of the community by involving in community change efforts.
