Dimapur, March 12 (EMN): The 3rd Peli Sekrenyi spot kick shootout, organised by Peli No. 15 was held at TM School Ground, Kohima village on Saturday.
In the men's category, Peli 17 (A) emerged the champion and received a cash prize of INR 10,000, sponsored by Peli No. 12 and a trophy sponsored by Bodevizo Dzüvichü. In addition, Ruokuotuolie Linyü added INR 1000, while the family of Late Keviyiezo Linyü donated INR 4000 to the champion Peli, a press release informed.
Peli 15 (B) stood second and received INR 7000, sponsored by Mhasimhalie Mathew Yhome. Aphrelie Dzüvichü of Peli No. 17 (A) secured the best goalkeeper title and pocketed INR 2000, sponsored by Neiketou Yhome.
In the women’s category, Peli No. 18 emerged as champion and was awarded with INR 5000, sponsored by P George Vizo and a trophy sponsored by Mengu Suokhrie. Further, the family of Late Keviyiezo Linyü donated INR 4000 to the champion Peli.
Peli No.17 (A) stood second position and received INR 3000, sponsored by Neiketou Yhome.
Neiliehu-ü of Peli No. 10 bagged the best goalkeeper title and was awarded with INR 1000, sponsored by Neiketou Yhome.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Viketoulie Linyü, treasurer of Peli No. 15.
A minute of silence was observed in memory of Neiphrezolie Khruomo, a member from Peli No. 16, who passed away on Friday.
