The dry pitch offered much help to the bowlers of both the sides. Going by the match, it almost looked like it will be an easy run-chase for the Daredevils, but the Giants came back strong to take the match till the final over.
Even for the Daredevils, it was their star batsman Anga, who scored 58 runs from 48 balls, rescued them in making a successful chase. Anga also won the man of the match in the second semifinal match yesterday. In both the innings, wickets kept falling at regular intervals, much to the joy of the bowlers.
A nail biting match, it was, as the Giants kept their hopes until the Daredevils scored the winning run with four balls left.
At the end, three wickets from Tapitu (3/23) and two wickets from Moarenba (2/14) was not enough to defend the target.
