Imphal, Feb. 13 (EMN): A total of 38,664 candidates including 19,824 female candidates will be appearing for High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) 2020 examination across 140 examination centres in Manipur from February 17 to March 5.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BoSEM) Secretary Dr. Chithung Mary Thomas informed that about 8000 officials including flying squads will be engaged for the smooth conduct of the examination.
She also informed that the scanned answer script of top 10 position holders and higher scorers in every subject will be uploaded in the website of the BoSEM in public interest.
Like the previous year, science and social science papers will be evaluated separately.
Board Chairman Th Kirankumar and officials said that this year, the board is introducing a new answer script booklet having watermarks, margins and graphs in a new portrait for the upcoming HSLC examination.
“After conducting sensitisation programmes, the board is introducing the new pattern for the smooth conduct of the examination,” the officials said.
‘The initiative was taken as the students tend to mix up the answers and as a result during the correction, splitting of answer sheets according to the subject becomes a problem,’ said the chairman.
The watermarks of respective subjects are embossed on science and social science answer script, he informed.
The board also open a control room to facilitate smooth conduct of the examination.
