The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority settled 384 cases worth over INR 4.75 crore during the first quarter National Lok Adalat held across multiple districts.

DIMAPUR — A total of 384 cases were amicably settled and disposed of at the first quarter National Lok Adalat held across multiple districts in Nagaland.
A total of 511 cases were taken up for settlement, where 11 benches were set up in the district headquarters of the District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) under the aegis of the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA).
The total settlement amount was INR 4,75,37,148. An update stated that the success of the disposal rate in the National Lok Adalat in Nagaland is about 75.15%.
Cases taken up were at the pre-litigation stage, including bank recovery cases, loan recovery and telephone bills, and those at pending stages were criminal compoundable offences, MACT and other civil cases.

The Longleng DLSA conducted the first quarter National Lok Adalat at the District Court Complex on Saturday, where a total of three cases were taken up (two pre-litigation and one pending) and all three were disposed of, with a total settlement amount of INR 6,97,389.
The Phek DLSA conducted the Adalat at the District Court Complex, where a total of 51 cases of bank recovery loans were taken up and disposed of with a settlement amount of INR 93,07,049.
The Kiphire DLSA held the Lok Adalat at the District Court Complex. Altogether 31 pre-litigation bank recovery cases were taken up, and 11 were disposed of with the total settlement amount of INR 3,26,047.
IN Kohima, the National Lok Adalat was conducted at the District Court Complex, during which 20 cases were taken up, including 17 pre-litigation cases, two pending trial MACT cases, and one money suit. All the cases were successfully disposed of, with a total settlement amount of INR 22,04,927.
The Mon DLSA conducted the Adalat at District Court Mon. Altogether 13 pre-litigation bank recovery cases and one litigation case were taken up, and 11 were disposed of with the total settlement amount of INR 58,59,268.
In Mokokchung, a total of 15 pre-litigation bank recovery cases were taken up, and 15 were disposed of with the total settlement amount of INR 33,49,633. The Wokha DLSA took up five pre-litigation bank recovery cases and disposed of them. The total settlement amount was INR 8,57,561.
The Zunheboto DLSA conducted the Adalat at the District Court Complex, and a total of 12 pre-litigation bank recovery cases were taken up and 12 were disposed of with the total settlement amount of INR 14,81,608. The Tuensang DLSA took up 14 bank recovery cases, and five bank cases were disposed of with a settlement amount of INR 7,99,500.
In Peren, a total of 200 pre-litigation bank cases were taken up, out of which 110 cases were successfully settled with a total settlement amount of INR 48,71,500. The Dimapur DLSA organised the Adalat at the District Court Complex during which a total of 146 cases were taken up and 141 cases were disposed of with a total settlement amount of INR 1,65,12,665.
