Dimapur, Feb. 12: The president of the NPF unit of 37th assembly constituency of Wokha district has apologised for a statement he said to have made on February 10 in the media. Npio Kikon, the NPF unit leader issued a press release on Sunday.
The note stated: “I Shri. Npio Kikon of Yanthamo village, president, NPF 37 A/C (Tiyi), in the presence of the Lotha Hoho and Lotha Hoho Joint Action Committee had unconditionally tendered an apology on the press statement dated 10/02/2017 under the heading (NPF 37 A/C rejects LH demand) published in all print media.”
The statement “was done with my knowledge and consent which provokes the general public of Lotha/Naga and henceforth I assured that I will never go against the interest of the Lotha/Naga,” it added.
