ANCSU secured re-evaluation relief for 367 Nagaland University students and sought corrections to Minor subject errors in FYUGP results
DIMAPUR — In a major relief for students affected by the recently declared Nagaland University Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) semester examination results, 367 students who were previously ineligible for re-evaluation will now be allowed to seek redress following the intervention of All Nagaland College Students' Union (ANCSU).
The decision was taken during a meeting between ANCSU and Nagaland University authorities on July 27, convened after the students' body's appeal over grievances related to the FYUGP semester examination results.
According to ANCSU, the 367 students were barred from applying for re-evaluation as they had either secured single-digit marks or failed to meet the university's existing minimum eligibility criterion of 20% marks.

Following extensive deliberations, the university agreed to allow the affected students to first inspect their evaluated answer scripts. If, after verification, they remain dissatisfied with the tabulation or award of marks, they will be permitted to apply for re-evaluation despite not meeting the prescribed eligibility criterion.
The ANCSU stated that the process will be facilitated after it receives a consolidated list of eligible students from the respective college students' councils.
The meeting also addressed complaints over the incorrect reflection of Minor subjects in the examination results. The university informed ANCSU that colleges have been given a one-month window to submit corrections. Students whose Minor subjects have been wrongly recorded have been advised to immediately approach their respective colleges so that the necessary corrections can be forwarded to the university within the stipulated period.
Meanwhile, the union asked all students who are currently ineligible for re-evaluation to submit their names and university roll numbers through their respective college students' councils within two days, enabling the union to take up the matter collectively with the university.
