MOKOKCHUNG — The 35+ Mokokchung Football League (MFL) will host a Grassroot Football Coaching Clinic from June 23 to the 27th at Mojabi Futsal Turf, Salangtem Ward, offering young football enthusiasts expert training.

The event, led by Barack FC Nagaland coach Brando Kamson and his team, aims to nurture skills and foster sportsmanship, stated Aongsen, the convener of the coaching clinic.

The clinic will commence with a launching ceremony on June 23 at 2 pm, followed by category-wise coaching sessions.

Schedules for the subsequent four days will be finalised after assessing participants’ skill levels on the first day.

Over 100 children are set to participate, exceeding the initial 60 seats due to an overwhelming response, which prompted an increase to 90 and then over 100 seats. Aongsen Aier, convener of 35+ MFL, expressed delight at the enthusiasm, stating that such a positive response shows the district’s love for football.

Parents have been invited to accompany their children and ensure they wear proper football kits for safe and effective training.

The clinic promises to provide young footballers with opportunities to learn from experienced coaches, enhance their skills, and build a sense of community.

Aongsen further expressed that the 35+ MFL anticipates strong community support to make the clinic a success while encouraging young talents to grow in a sport deeply cherished in the district.
