Dimapur, Feb. 1 (EMN): Nagaland Police registered 35 cases related to drug seizures from January 18 to the 24th.
According to the Nagaland Police weekly update, a total of 37 people have been arrested related to seizure of narcotics and psychotropic substances and IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor).
The highest number of registered cases was related to the seizure of IMLF with 27 cases, while 29 people have been arrested with a total of 9308 bottles of IMLF.
Eight cases related to narcotics and psychotropic substances were registered and eight people were arrested; while seized items included 4878 Spasmo Proxivon, 55 gram of Brown sugar, 15 kg of Opium, 360 kg of ganja and 0.5 gram of heroin.
Nagaland Police has been taking measures to crack down anti-social elements and activities the update stated and appealed to the public to combat the menace by providing any information related to sale/distribution/transport of any form of narcotics/drugs/IMFL, etc., to the nearest Police station or Nagaland Police officers whose CUG phone numbers are available in the 'Call Your Cop' mobile app.
