IMPHAL — The
Assam Rifles Men’s Polo Team A dominated Universal Polo Club with a commanding
12-3 victory on the second day of the DGAR Men and Women Polo Championship 2025
at the historic Mapal Kangjeibung, the world’s oldest polo ground in Imphal, on
Tuesday.
The second match saw Kongpal Polo Club Team B deliver an outstanding
performance, defeating Amir Kwakta Polo Club 13-0.
The women’s match featured an impressive display of skill,
as Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club triumphed over Ibudhou Pakhangba Polo Club with a
6-0 win.
The DGAR Men and Women Polo Tournament commenced under the
aegis of Assam Rifles as part of its Civic Action Program in coordination with
the All Manipur Polo Association on January 20.
A total of 32 polo teams are participating in the
tournament, of which 27 are men’s teams and five are women’s teams.
