3 injured in bus accident in Mokokchung

MOKOKCHUNG — At least three passengers were injured when a Mokokchung-bound ‘Blue Hill’ night super bus (NL-02B-2462), coming from Guwahati, met with an accident at Longchara Junction, Changtongya town, in Mokokchung district, on Tuesday morning.

Changtongya Police informed that the bus ferrying around 13 passengers crashed into a brick building around 7 am.

Sources said that the three occupants who received injuries were rushed to the community health centre, Changtongya, for first aid.

Police said that as per the bus driver’s initial statement, the cause of the accident was due to steering failure.
