DIMAPUR — The 3 Corps Zone Workshop celebrated its 25th Raising Day at Rangapahar Military Station, Dimapur, marking 25 years of dedicated engineering support to formations under 3 Corps.
Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, attended the occasion and interacted with all ranks. He lauded them for their professionalism, technical excellence, and unwavering commitment to sustaining high operational readiness in challenging environments, marked by evolving threats and a shift towards tech-driven operations, a defence release stated.
Raised on February 1, 2001, through the amalgamation of an Intermediate Repair Workshop and a Recovery Company, 3 Corps Zone Workshop has evolved into a critical engineering support echelon, providing comprehensive repair and recovery support to field formations and ensuring rapid regeneration of combat power.

Dimapur Civil Defence wardens & volunteers training underway
During Operation Parakram (2001–02), the workshop was deployed in Northern Command, where it provided intermediate repair and recovery cover to 3 Corps formations, it stated.
Over the years, the workshop has consistently sustained mission readiness through repair and recovery of equipments and vehicles.
“The Raising Day celebrations reaffirmed the proud legacy of 3 Corps Zone Workshop and its resolve to remain ever prepared to meet future challenges in service of the nation,” the release added.
