2nd Inter-Sector Kitsubozou Youth Society Sports Meet begins at NS Garden in Kohima with 10 sectors participating.

KOHIMA — The 2nd Inter-Sector Kitsubozou Youth Society (KYS) Sports Meet, organised on the theme "Unite as One and Grow Stronger Together", got underway at NS Garden in Kohima on Saturday.
A total of 10 sectors under KYS are participating in the sporting event, which include futsal for men, volleyball for both men and women, and tug-of-war for men and women.
Councillor of Ward 5 (Kitsubozou) Vimhalie Pienyü kicked off the sporting event and appreciated the KYS for unifying all sectors by organising the event.
President of KYS Khoto Tetseo informed that the sports meet is held once every three years. After a long gap since the first edition, KYS revived the sporting event this year.
He stated that the main objective of organising the event is to get to know one another and connect better as residents of the same colony. Pointing out that the colony is large and it becomes difficult to know every person, he expressed hope that organising the sporting event would bring members together.
Tetseo informed that KYS was founded in 1963. The running trophy sponsors were Keneilhoulie Keditsu, Dr. Kobunuo, Vimhalie Pienyü, Dr. Asalie Khiezhie, and Kekhriezelie Khezhie.
In men's futsal, the champions will receive INR 15,000, and the runners-up will receive INR 10,000. In volleyball, the men's and women's champions will receive INR 15,000 each, while the runners-up will receive INR 10,000 each.
The champions in tug-of-war for both men and women will receive INR 15,000, while the runners-up will get INR 10,000 each. The best disciplined sector and the overall champions will each receive INR 10,000.
The event is managed by the families of Ngulie Solo.
