The second edition of the Inter KIC Table Tennis Tournament begins at the IG Stadium in Kohima.

DIMAPUR — The second edition of the Inter Khelo India Centre (KIC) Table Tennis Tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, commenced at the IG Stadium, Kohima, on Tuesday.
Speaking as the special guest, Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Youth Resources and Sports Department, Tiameren Chang said the state government, under the leadership of the chief minister, is committed to promoting sports.
He noted that table tennis not only instils discipline but also builds reflexes. He concluded his address by urging the players to play with confidence, sportsmanship, and respect for each other before declaring the tournament open.
According to an update, the tournament is being held at Hall A, IG Stadium, Kohima, from August 17 to the 19th.
In the Girls' U-14 category, Yimsiyenla of KIC Indoor Stadium, Tuensang, secured the first position. In the Girls' U-12 category, Nichen Apon of KIC Baptist Higher Secondary School, Tseminyu, secured the first position, while Shyerhunye Semy of the same centre finished second.
In the Boys' U-14 category, V Shepeka Yeptho of KIC NIAPA Chümoukedima took the first position. In the Boys' U-12 category, Mhachan Ranthang of KIC NIAPA Chümoukedima secured the first position, followed by Gihuka Swu of KIC Baptist Higher Secondary School, Tseminyu, in second, and Ruyelo Kent of the same centre in third.
In the Boys' U-10 category, Paul Sante of KIC NIAPA Chümoukedima secured the first position.
