Dimapur, May 6 (EMN): The 2nd Along Memorial Tournament organised by Imsu and Jonathan (IJ) group and sponsored by late Along Longkumer’s family commenced on Saturday, May 6 and will continue till May 13 at Dimapur District Sports Complex ground (DDSC).
Imsu Longkumer convenor of IJ group in his brief words of encouragement said that it was solely a non-profitable tournament and all they want was to encourage the local cricket players to participate in the competition.The opening prayer was delivered by Shilu Imchen, Abam Mission Resource Mobiliser (AMRM)
In the first match, Victoria Cricket Club after winning the toss and electing to bat first scored 102 runs all out in 15 overs. ESA Cricket Warriors won the match by 6 wickets.
The second match was played between Blue Star and Royal Tourniquet. Batting first Blue Star scored a good total of 188 runs. Chasing the taget Royal Tourniquet failed to achieve it and was all out for 121 runs in 18 overs. Blue Star won by 68 runs.
