Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): The 25th edition of Khouva Range Sports Association (KRSA) sports meet got underway at Vidima village on Monday with MLA, Jacob Zhimomi as the chief guest.
Addressing a large gathering at Vidima village ground, chief guest congratulated the KRSA on its silver jubilee celebration stating that the association was conceived with a great vision and it has made great strides over the years. He said that the association has come of age and therefore it is shouldered with bigger responsibilities to embark towards a new era to a clear manifest to achieve greater heights not only in sports but also in promoting peace and social bonding among the people.
Encouraging the sport persons to be committed in their aim to become successful sports personalities, Jacob reiterated that there is job security in sports but, it is for only those who pursue their goal with hard work and determination.
He urged the participating teams to compete in a healthy spirit as coming together and competing in a sporting pulse was equally important as winning.
Further, he reminded the people that he remain unmoved in his commitment to work for the people and that he would continue to do the best he could to developmentally uplift the people.
