25-year-old Wangtun Wanmei becomes youngest Longlam Angh

  • DIMAPUR — Longlam village in Mon district witnessed the coronation of Wangtun Wanmei as the new angh on Tuesday.

  • According to an update, Wanmei, aged 25, is the youngest angh in Longlam’s recorded history and is said to be among the youngest anghs in the Konyak area.

  • The Chief Angh of Wangla Leiwang, Hongphoi Angh Manto, Lapa Angh Tinwang, and Oting Angh Tahwang spoke during the coronation ceremony. Peiwang Konyak addressed the gathering, and the pastor of LBC, Phuhlem, blessed the coronation of the new Angh.


The event was attended by villagers and anghs from neighbouring villages and concluded with a community feast.
