Kohima, Sep. 18 (EMN): Nagaland has 137 primary health centres (PHC) spread across the districts, with each PHC entitled to a doctor as provided for by the Indian Public Health Standard. However, 25 are said to be functioning without designated medical officers.
In response to a question raised by Naga People’s Front MLA Y Vikheho Swu, the minister for Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom replied that only 112 PHC had medical officers.
