Dimapur, July 18 (EMN): Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM) along with 25 Chakhesang villages comprising 280 leaders under Phek constituency and Meluri constituency meet at Phek Town Baptist Church on July 18 and unanimously resolved to support CCEM and uphold the 18 points guidelines given by the CCEM and NBCC.
The meeting was chaired by Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah, Principal of Baptist Theological College. Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, Executive Secretary CBCC; Kekhwengulo Lea, President Chakhesang Public Organisation; Dr. Küzhopoyo Tünyi, Convener Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM); John Lohe, Co-convener CCEM; were the main speakers.
The presidents of Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) and the Phek Area Public Organisation (PAPO) also spoke in the meeting.
The meeting concluded with a prayer by the pastor of Phek Town Baptist Church, Thepucüyi Khesoh.
CCEM is a movement of the Chakhesang community, which is above any party. It requested the people to cooperate with the CCEM and strive to bring a change.
The CCEM also met Kovi Meyiese, Deputy Commissioner, Phek, and deliberated about the clean elections, where the DC appreciated the movement and assured to give his best to the movement.
