- DIMAPUR — The
24th Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) Sports Meet and 77th Federal Assembly
commenced on March 11 at the local ground in Mon, with Wangpang Konyak, Advisor
for Social Welfare, attending the opening programme.
- According to an update, speaking on the occasion, the
advisor expressed his gratitude to the KSU officials for their initiative in
organising the event and stated that such events would help improve sports and
literacy.
- He stressed the importance of joint responsibility and urged
the people to cooperate with leaders. He stated that education and knowledge
are power, and preparation is the foundation.
- He urged the students to be sincere in their studies and
focus on competitive examinations. He also spoke on human resources and encouraged
civil society organisations to take steps for a better future.
- The event is hosted by the Mon Area Students’ Union under
the theme ‘Reawakening the present; re-envisioning the future’ and will
conclude on March 19.
