Dimapur, Feb. 22 (EMN): Chairman of the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), Asano Sekhose has informed that a total of 21712 candidates will be sitting for the HSLC examination at 80 centres and 15281 for HSSLC examination at 54 centres.
Sekhose informed this during a meeting with the centre superintendents of HSLC and HSSLC examinations on February 20 at the NBSE conference hall, a press release from the board said.
In her address, the chairman has lauded the centre superintendents for cooperation and support extended to the board in the past years and urged them to continue doing so even in the future.
Sekhose also informed that two new centres for HSLC examinations have been created at Government Higher Secondary School, Longkhim, and Government Higher Secondary School, Niuland. One HSSLC centre has also been set up at St. Paul Higher Secondary School, Dimapur.
It stated that Class XI promotion examination would be held simultaneously with the HSSLC examination, where a total of 17704 students have been enrolled to appear the Class XI examination in 161 centres.
The chairman appealed the superintendents to conduct the forthcoming examinations in fair manner and free from any malpractices.
Controller of examinations, Rangumbuing Nsarangbe shared the rules for conduct of examinations. Issues to be taken into account before, during and post examinations were also discussed in length with superintendents.
